Stanley Joseph Zeglin

Mr. Zeglin (JaJu) was born December 19, 1926 in Mammoth, Pennsylvania. He died on February 28, 2018 in Leesville Louisiana at the age of ninety-one (91) years, two (2) months and nine (9) days. Stan, a long-time resident of Baytown, Texas, was an honorably discharged World War II Navy veteran and retiree of Exxon Mobil.

Mr. Zeglin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beverly Jewel (Honey) Zeglin, formerly of Baytown, Texas and currently of Leesville, Louisiana. Other survivors include: Three (3) sons, Steve Zeglin and wife Cindy of Baytown, Texas, Tommy Zeglin and wife Margaret of Livingston, Texas, Jody Mark Nunez and wife Loyce of Dayton, Texas; and two (2) Daughters Sandra Zeglin Simmons of Denver, Colorado, and Cherri Nunez Burns and husband Wayne of Leesville, Louisiana. One surviving brother: Leo Zeglin and wife Kathy of Baytown, Texas. Two surviving sisters: Dorothy Zeglin Zelenak (and the late Charles) of Mt Pleasant, Pennsylvania; and Patty Zeglin Laughlin and husband Larry of Baytown, Texas. JaJu leaves behind to cherish his memory 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Fronczek Zeglin, one sister, Helen Giernacky, two brothers, Johnny Zeglin and Walter Zeglin, one son, Billy Nunez, Jr, and one grandson, David Nunez.

Mr Zeglin’s long and full life was spent loving, caring, and providing for his family. He was a devout Catholic and genuine Christian man. In his spare time Stan enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching sports, coaching and umpiring baseball. He was a loyal Pittsburg Steelers fan!

Pall bearers are Leo Zeglin, Jr, Mason Lucas, Kedrick Harris, Jasachin Harris, Brent Crowson, and Christopher Zeglin. Honorary pall bearers are Wayne Burns and Bryan Lucas.

Services have been entrusted to Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 5-8pm at Earthman Funeral Home with a rosary to begin at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 8, 2018 at beginning at 10am. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, TX, 77521.
