Warr Acres resident, Janice Ann Brightwell, 86, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. Janice was born October 1, 1932 in Hinton, Oklahoma to John and Helen (Bray) Hamilton. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Classen High School.
She married John Brightwell April 23, 1952 and together they raised four children. She enjoyed being a housewife and taking care of her home and family.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert (Bobby) Brightwell; and three sisters, June Wallace, Joan Thomson, and Jean Meyer.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, John Brightwell; children, John Edward Brightwell, Brenda Brightwell, and Sharon Odom; seven grandchildren, Christina Brightwell Thompson, Chad Odom, Danielle Mesigh, Siobhan Frow, Michael Brightwell, Lauren Nowell, and Brian Brightwell; fourteen great grandchildren, Hadley, Carson, and Hudson Nowell, Eleanor Mesigh and Baby Boy (on the way!) Kiernan Brightwell, Rowan and Bert Thompson, Fiona, Helena, Michael, and Fletcher Frow, Madyson Brightwell and MaKayla Pesina.
Services will be 11am Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Guardian West Funeral Home (5820 NW 41st St. Warr Acres, Oklahoma).
