Louise Shirley Mayer, 61, of Bloomington died Friday, September 17, 2021 in Golden Living Center. She was born January 11, 1960 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Russell R. Mayer, Sr. and Josephine Spata Mayer. She had worked at Walmart.
Survivors include her sister, Terri Mayer of Bloomington; a sister in law, Betty Mayer of Bloomington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Russell Mayer, Jr.
Louise was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bloomington. She loved to collect Boyd’s Bears and Precious Moments figurines, her favorite color was purple, she enjoyed going to yard sales with Betty, spending time with her family and her cats and dogs, and she loved her nephews and was always a listening ear. Before her mother and father passed away, she was always there to help them.
There will be a Celebration of Life and Pitch in Dinner on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Handy Meeting Barn, 2827 East Moffett Lane, Bloomington, IN 47401, with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Dress is casual for the event. Arrangements are under the direction of Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel.
