Hi Skip. So sorry to learn of her passing. I remember meeting Ruth at B.H.S .North, then many times chatting with her at Krogers. I always asked her where and how you were doing. She was very proud of you, of course. And you were a great library user!

I knew Ruth from St. Mark's UMC and her work at Krogers.  She will be remembered as kind and calm, ever helpful.  She never failed to inquire about my brother who had mental problems. Her presence was felt without interference.  I am sad she has passed on and share your grief.

So  sorry to learn of the passing of Ruth Augustine. Skip, I remember her from your U. School and North days, met her at Krogers many a time. She always brought me up to date on your life.

I was one of the members of a group that used to meet at Kroger every Monday morning for coffee, and then started meeting for lunch once a month.  We eventually called ourselves the Kroger Coffee, Tea and Sympathy Group. Ruth was a member before I was, probably long before.We all enjoyed Ruth 's company very much. We'll miss her smile and her laugh.

I remember Ruth as we were members of the the Amanda Club..   She always had that smile for all who were at meetings.  That is a great picture.   She had a cute little laugh that I can hear when I look at the picture.   Many sweet memories.

Your mom and I worked together at school when she came to demonstrate proper use of the e!electric  range or the microwave. She also introduced me to the job of consumer advisor at Kroger.  Your dad and mom were part of the Kroger coffee club that met every Monday morning  until the cove shut- down.

I will miss her sweet and caring nature.  





Dear Skip,

We were so sorry to hear of your mother’s death from St. Mark’s.  Bill had heard that she was not doing well from some of the people in his art class but we were saddened to hear the news of her passing.  I had talked on the phone to her several weeks ago but since we are not over in the big building as often as before the pandemic, we had not seen her.

We really enjoyed learning to know your mom since we moved here to Bell Trace and before the “shut down” we had a standing dinner date  with her in the Bistro every time they served liver and onions.  We also saw her often at the Saturday night movies and the exercise classes.  We will miss her and so will many others here at Bell Trace.

She was a unique and wonderful person who had become a good friend to us and many others.  You have our deepest sympathy at this time and we will miss seeing you and her on your visits.  We will be looking for any information that the church or Bell Trace may put out concerning a memorial, etc. in the future as we want to honor her memory.
