Walter George Nastaj
27 December, 1920 – 4 October, 2019
Our beloved WWII Navy Veteran (Pacific Theater) passed away peacefully after a long illness; his family and friends were at his side. Walter had a fulfilling career as a machine designer and retired in the mid-1980s. He had the thrill of touring the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC in 2016, courtesy of Rocky Mountain Honor Flight. This trip was one of his fondest memories. A life-long resident of New Jersey until 2013, Walter relocated to Boulder at age 92 to be near his daughter Deb and her husband, Scott. Walter is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; niece Jackie and her family; nephew Ed and his family; many great-nieces and nephews; and grand-dog Ula. Walter and his family are grateful for the loving care he received from Seasons Hospice, especially Father Will, Season’s Chaplain. In lieu of flowers, we invite donations in Walter’s memory to Season’s Hospice or Rocky Mountain Honor Flight.
