I met Ellen here in Oregon while she was working at the U of O.
She was my brother, Bob Hale's girlfriend. I loved her from the moment I met her. She and my mother became fast friends and went on a cruise together.
We stayed in touch through many of life's experiences. I talked to her on the phone many times after she built her new home in Texas.
We all miss her so much. I still talk to her.
Gods Grace my beautiful friend.
Sail away to a better place!
Lots of Love.

Ellen is an alumni of Woodland Heights from the days of "out in the country". She and I had many races on our bikes heading out the school's back door by the lunch room building. Ellen was scrappy and worked her short legs pedaling hard to jump the "ditch". Sometimes I won and sometimes she came in first. The race to heaven has many ups and downs and Ellen has come in first making it home first, RIP.

Boundless energy, great sense of humor, and a wonderful friend. You will be missed more than words can express.

I remember in the 8th grade when I transferred to Early from Brownwood, Ellen had tears in her eyes and tried to get me not to go. We were friends from then on. We didn't stay in touch til the 35th reunion when she came to town and we all laughed and told some good jokes. During the years after that we emailed and I sent her cd's of the songs I had written. She moved back and we visited a few times. The world will be a little less happy and Ellen will be missed. Sorry to hear that she passed away.

I was first a neighbor of Ellen's family in the community of Woodland Heights then for the last several years my husband Reggie and I lived within sight of Ellen's home here in the Mills County community of Ebony on CR 540. Appreciated her help in helping us round up our bull when he visited the Day Ranch. We are so sorry for your loss of Ellen and pray of your comfort.
