He graduated from Bangs High School in 1942 where he was active in sports. ln the summer of 1942, he started working at Camp Bowie in Brownwood. Later, he and brother Ray went to Houston to work in the shipyards. Ray later enlisted but Adrian continued at the shipyards until W.W. II was over. He married Margie Louise Box of Houston on June 1, 1946 in Bangs at the Baptist church parsonage. They were married seventy years.
Adrian worked for Magnolia Oil in Houston and General Dynamics in Ft. Worth. He and Margie moved to Bangs in October 1959 with their children, Joyce Ellen and Walter Jerry. They owned Bodine TV Sales and Service. For the next thirty years, many residents in Brown and Coleman counties used their services.
Margie had written that Adrian was "a man that lived for Jesus. Saved at age 9 and ordained as a Baptist Deacon at 26. A very gifted man that knew the Bible and shared it with others".

Jerry, my dear friend, along with your family, I send my heartfelt Blessings in JESUS name🙏 Your Dad was the most amazing, caring, loving man I have ever met. I have so many fond memories of growing up with you and Joyce. We had slumber parties at your house with Joyce and us girls. Margie and Adrian were so patient and loving, however, you were not thrilled. He He❤️ I loved Joyce with all my heart❤️ Your Mom and Dad were such awesome parents!! I know you had to bear so many challenges, but you did it all with dignity and sacrifice. You were so much like your Daddy❤️ Your Father was an example of what real Christian men are supposed to be. Adrian did not have one mean bone in his body— He loved everybody totally and unconditionally, and did not judge. Every minute of every day, he was seeking and trying to save souls. He gave me notes that he had on Revelations— When I had questions of Faith, he was my mentor. I have not shared that with anyone, but Adrian spent hours with me answering my questions. Hey, I was a Methodist and he was a Baptist, but to Adrian, it did not matter. He loved everybody, no matter where they went to Church. He was truly a man of GOD!!❤️🙏 He is really at home now, in Heaven, with JESUS, Margie, Joyce, all his family and friends. I love you, Jerry, and May GOD in JESUS name give you peace and comfort❤️🙏

Prayers and love to the Bodine family as you celebrate Adrian's life. Many wonderful childhood memories of all the times we shared and enjoyed from Sunday School and church to sports to just playing at each other's homes.
A great human being has been rewarded and has gone home to spend eternity. God bless and be with each of you .
