OBITUARY

Moreno Cerra

7 November , 196928 September , 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our son, brother, cousin and friend, Moreno. Born and raised in Vancouver, he sought out a career that centered around the place he always called home. He became a devoted and well respected employee of the City of Vancouver who took great pride in his work, having served his city for 17 years. He is survived by Mother Iolanda Cerra, Father Fiore Cerra, Sister Angela Cerra, Brother in Law Chad Galitzky, close cousins Julie Cerra and Ornella Cerra, as well as many cousins in Italy and Australia, and all of his many friends. Moreno will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, his humour, his kindness, and his sunny disposition that always put a smile on everyone’s face. He was a kind, caring man, who was also a bit of a prankster. Moreno had many passions in his life; travel, architecture, and sports, having always been a huge Juventus fan. But what he cared and cherished the most was his Family and Friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver.

Dear Moreno,
it's still hard for me to think you're gone. Every day is like waking up in a bad nightmare where all this has not happened.
However, unfortunately it's reality.
I will always remember you with so much love and nostalgia.
At that time in Vancouver you were a guide, a shoulder you could always count on, a cousin, a friend and a counselor.
I remember when you told me that I had to live my life and pursue my dreams, when you teased me for my "italian/ english" and I remember you for the love for the family: mum and dad, your sister and your cousins.
I was hoping to still have time to create new memories. now I will bring those passed with so much love.
All this should not have happened, but I hope you can now watch over them and give us the strength to face all this.

With all my love to you.
But also to Angie, zia, zio, Chad, Julie and Ornella.

You will never be forgotten.

With all my love,
Margaux.

Moreno i will never forget you and your smiles; you are and always will be one of a kind. I have known you since high school then grad reunions and get together dinners, parties, hang outs with the gang from high school and getting together to share great evenings. I am still in disbelief that you are literally gone but in thousands of hearts you are never gone. We love you Moreno Cerra and will never ever forget you. I will visit you at your resting place and one day we will see each other again in heaven cause you belong to the angels in heaven now.
