19 May, 1938 – 28 July, 2020
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Zrinko Zuvic. He was born in Zman, Dugi Otok, Hrvatska on May 19, 1938 and was greeted by loved ones in heaven on July 28, 2020.
He had a vision for his life with his family and brought them to Canada in 1972. He came to Vancouver and eventually moved to Burnaby, BC. He worked as a commercial fisherman and in construction for many years. He was a hard working man who had a desire to provide everything for his wife, Mira, and his 3 children, Leon, Alen and Linda. As a talented craftsman, he built 4 beautiful houses in the Burnaby and Coquitlam area, settling in his final home in his beloved community of North Burnaby.
At the age of 78, he built his cherished home in his hometown of Zman, Croatia where he spent 5 months every year with his beautiful Zena (wife), Mira. He had a passion for cooking, gardening and winemaking and shared his bounty generously with all.
He will be remembered for his smiling face, his integrity and his kindness. He is survived by his loving wife, Mira, his three children, Leon, Alen (Jennifer), and Linda (Shannon), his adored grandchildren, Zackary, Matthew, Zoriana, Zaria and Maëlle and numerous friends and family in Croatia and Canada.
He was a beloved Sin (son), loving Muz, (husband), amazing Tata (father), proud Dida (grandfather) and wonderful Prijatelj (friend).
He was brave, had courage and and had an unmatched love for life. Until we see you again, may God keep you safe under the shadow of his wings. We love you always!

Dida...we will miss your morning pancakes, watching your creativity in all of your projects and your woodworking, teaching us to speak Croatian and your warm, loving hugs. I will think of you when I see a sunrise (your favorite time of day), waves shining in the sun, seagulls sailing high in a sky of blue and when I see a garden in 40 shades of green. My heart will always hold these precious memories close. I know God will keep you safe until the joyous day arrives that we meet again.❤❤❤
