Eugenio "Jim" Buffone

Jim walked many many miles and continued to walk through life with an unwavering resilience. Despite the challenges he endured, Jim carried with him an infectious spirit. He touched the lives of many with his ability to make strangers feel like friends. We are saddened by this sudden loss, but we will celebrate the life Jim lived, the simple things that he enjoyed...black coffee (with no spoon) anytime of the day, Led Zeppelin, cribbage, dice, the cool breeze on a hot day and the freedom to simply be.

Jim will be welcomed in heaven by his mother’s loving arms (Giuseppina) and reunited with his daughter April Rose. He will be sadly missed by: his father Gino Martino, his sisters Francesca "Franki" (Ron), Rosaria “Rosie” (Cliff), Sandra “Sandi” (Ian), his nieces and nephews Tanya (Mike), Tina (Domenico), Aaron, Zachary, Dean, Audrey, Paul, Olivia, Angelica, Vivian, Francesca, Adriano and Sofia. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Our family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Lawrie, Mike Barlow, Sue Been, and all of the staff at London’s Dale Brain Injury Services, the staff at Albert Street and at the Cornerstone Clubhouse for the care and kindness shown to Jim throughout the years.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Coutts Funeral home at 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 5 to 7pm. Vigil prayers at 6:30 PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Clement’s Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Dale Brain injury Services, specifically the "Enriching Lives Fund" (drop down menu on online donation form) would be appreciated by the family.
