Maria DePinto

Left this world on September 11, 2018 to be with her husband Girolamo “Gino” (1995), her parents and her brother Domenico. Maria was born in Molfetta, Italy on December 13, 1937 to parents Ignatzio and Marta Altomare. She leaves behind her brother Giuseppe Altomare (Giovanna), son Giuseppe DePinto (Audrey), daughter Marta Walker (Jim), grandchildren Gina Cornish (Geoff), Joey DePinto and great grandchildren Makayla and Mackenzie Cornish. Maria came to Canada in 1958 and was soon married to Gino. She spent the next 20 years dedicated to raising her children. With her children grown, Maria turned her attention to community service and spent decades involved with organizations like the Lioness’s, the Boy Scout Mom’s, along with volunteering at both the David Durwood and Allen Reuter Centres. She will be greatly missed by friends and family. Family will receive guest at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge on Friday, September, 14, 2018 for visitation from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Interment to take place at Mount View Cemetery on Saturday, September, 15 2018 at 10am. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Lisaard House.
