Veda Aileen Hallman, aged 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20th, 2018 at Riverbend Place.
Born in Beverly Township, Veda lived in this area her whole life, working for many years as a farmer with her husband Elton in the Bright area, then retiring to Cambridge in 1975. Veda was an easy-going, caring, and private person who enjoyed the simple things in life, like her leisurely walks, or listening to country music. She loved to dance, and she belonged to the Harmony Dance Club with her husband for several years. Veda was also an active member of First United Church. She will be dearly missed by her sister June Byard (Gary) and her many nieces and nephews. Veda was predeceased by her beloved husband Elton Hallman (2011), sister Vera Duncan (2017), brother Glen Henderson (2007), and her parents Cecil and Verly Henderson. A private interment has taken place at Detweiler Mennonite Cemetery in Ayr. Special thanks to all the caring staff at Riverbend Place.
