Nancy Jo Williams-Specie of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on September 28, 2022. She was 87 years old. Nancy was born and raised in North Fort Myers. After graduating from Fort Myers High School in 1952, Nancy married the love of her life, Samuel “Eddie” Williams, and spent the next two decades as a military wife. They had three children. After her husband’s death in 1977, Nancy found love again, marrying Joseph G. Specie of Moberly, Missouri. They lived in North Fort Myers, just a few blocks from the house she was born in, until he passed away in 2009.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Kathy (John) Fick and son Gary (Karen) Williams. She was blessed with 10 beautiful grandchildren, and 13 perfect great-grandchildren and was expecting two more by Christmas. Her eldest son, David Williams, preceded her in death in 2015. Of her four siblings, she is survived only by her sister, Linda Dilks of Dade City, Florida.
Nancy was a life-long member of the North Fort Myers First Baptist Church and served as church secretary for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Lee County Pioneering Club.
Nancy will be laid to rest beside her husband, Eddie, at Coral Ridge Cemetery in Cape Coral, Florida. A memorial service has been scheduled for November 2nd at 12:00 noon at the Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd, Cape Coral, Florida.
