Patricia Marie St. John

Patricia Marie St. John, 64, passed away at home on November 30, 2016 following a short illness. During her last days, she was surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Ohio, but had lived in the Bay Area for over 40 years. Pat studied accounting at Diablo Valley College and was an experienced bookkeeper prior to her retirement. She is survived by her husband Thomas Franklin; daughters Jennifer Bentley and Laura Royer; granddaughters Kirsten Lawler and Samantha Tan; brother Karl Royer and sister-in-law Cynthia Royer; and sister Virginia Parisi. A resident of Martinez for the past 17 years, Pat had a zest for life and enjoyed gardening, baking, hiking, reading, and playing bridge. She also volunteered by reading to the elderly. Friends are invited to attend a memorial and celebration of life on Saturday, Dec 17th, at 1pm at First Baptist Church in Concord, located at 3033 Bonifacio Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa.
