Mildred Adalaide Johnston

Mimi was an active and devoted member of Moores Chapel United Methodist Church where she received the Church Laity Award. She was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class, Women’s Society of Christian Service and the Home Extension Club. She served her community helping deliver meals to shut-ins for many years.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Belmont Throwing Plant where she worked for 44 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters.

Surviving is her sister, Frances Auten; brothers, Grady Johnston and wife Nancy, and James Johnston and wife Joanne; 10 nieces and nephews, 24 grand nieces and nephews and 16 great grand -nieces and nephews..

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Moores Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Suzanne Michaels officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service in Mulberry Presbyterian Cemetery.
