Watson, Daniel D., III, 75 , formerly of Mechanicsville, VA, passed away on June 7, 2018. Dan was an amazing man who lived his life with vigor, passion and fearlessness. He taught us many lessons. His love for sailing, riding motorcycles, flying, and all things mechanical gave him incredible stories to share. A Purple Heart recipient, he was a helicopter test pilot and successful construction business owner. Left to honor and cherish his memory are his longtime companion and wife, Lisa Shonnard, his aunt Nell Carley, and his steadfast friend, Richard Rodda. Dan is survived by his children, Danny, Sean, Judy and Rochelle; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Burial will be private.
