Barbara Gladys Regehr July 12, 1961 ~ April 18, 2021

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness the family of Barbara Regehr announces her passing after a short courageous battle with cancer at the age of 59. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years and best friend Ken Regehr; children Matthew, Rhonda (Jordan) Jansen and Joshua; mother Eunice Urness; brothers Gerald (Andrea) Urness, Doug (Crystal) Urness; 5 precious grandchildren Kaira, Miyah, Maximus, Izaah and Alia; nephews Grady (Gerald & Andrea), Jackson (Doug & Crystal) and niece Gwendalynn (Doug & Crystal). Barbara was predeceased by her father Ron Urness and brother Greg Urness.

Barbara was a kind, caring and compassionate person. It showed in her work as an LPN and with her friends and family. Barbara loved the Lord and loved going to church and participating in bible studies. Highlights of her life included her trip to Israel, and her last trip to Uganda, Africa. The school children had a special place in Barb's heart and she longed to return to Africa. She loved the outdoors, camping and knitting was a favorite past time as well as spending precious time with her grandchildren.

We would like to thank the Chilliwack and Abbotsford hospitals, the doctors, nurses and staff who so kindly and caringly looked after Barbara.

A Graveside Service will be held on May 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Yarrow Cemetery.

Our heartfelt condolences to Ken and Barb's family (especially Rhonda, Matthew and Josh). I first met Barb long before she met Ken, at the time when we pastored the Harrison Gospel Chapel. From the first time I met Barb, I was impressed with her deep love for the Lord and her gift of spiritual discernment. She loved deeply and she trusted deeply and she walked with God! We have always felt close to Barb and Ken. It was an honor to bless their marriage ceremony. We walked with them through times of blessing and challenges alike. Due to the present pandemic restrictions on our travel in BC, we are not able to stand by your side as you grieve the loss your dear wife and partner, Barb. We are with you in spirit and our prayers are with you Ken and Rhonda, Matthew and Josh. Praying God's peace will hold you close as you grieve together and remember your wonderful wife and Mom.
