Edward Humphrey Gatacre

In loving memory of my darling and kindred spirit, I am profoundly saddened to announce the passing of my one and only true love and lifetime partner, Edward Humphrey Gatacre, 76 years young, of Lindell Beach, BC who departed from this world peacefully at home on August 16, 2021 shortly after 7:00 pm.

Edward had a passion for history, antiques, silverware, politics, family lineage and descendants, English culture, the universe, life and creation. He enjoyed spending quality time with his partner at home, as well as cooking, camping, travelling and much more.

He was predeceased by his father, Galfry William Gatacre, his mother Alice Nellie Gatacre (nee Agar), five siblings, nephews and nieces. He is survived by one sibling, Tony Gatacre of Fort Fraser, BC. Edward was an extremely private person throughout his entire life. He dedicated many years in the loving care and attention of his mother, his partner, and patients that benefited from his personal and compassionate care for many years during his career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

There will be no services held, at Edward’s final request and final wishes upon leaving this physical world for the spirit world. He will be sorely missed by his loving and devoted partner of 33+ years, Marc Guay and family, and will be forever and always remembered in our thoughts, in our hearts and souls to all of those individual lives he has touched. Until we shall meet again my darling, your love and a friend, Marco.
