Nancy Ann Blackmur

Nancy (Ann) Blackmur passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Bradley Centre in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 82. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Keith, children Karen, Carol (Wade), Kevin (Rhonda) and Colleen (Darryl), grandchildren Kailee Picco (Brian), Nicki Picco (Hassan), Noah Michielsen, Peter Michielsen, Courtney Reid (Travis), James Reid, Mathew Kamali Blackmur, Jenny Kamali Blackmur (Tyson), Emily Gibson (Vaughn), Connor Gibson, and great grandchildren Easton Russell, Treyden Russell, and Maleek Aden.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Willard and Evelyn Armstrong of Jemseg, NB, her sister Eileen Waterhouse of Arnprior, ON, and Pat Reid, her son-in-law.

Nancy is also survived by her sisters Doreen Armstrong, Marion Armstrong both of Fredericton, NB and brother-in-law Ken Waterhouse of Arnprior, ON and niece Trish Clouse (Chris) and children Carson, Kennedy and Ryder of Ajax, ON.

Nancy was a proud mother of her four children, she adored her ten grandchildren and her three great grandsons. Nancy was the instigator of music in her children’s lives, which entailed many years of accordion lessons, practice, and festivals. Nancy worked 20 years for Safeway where she was well-respected for her fantastic customer service and devotion to her job.

Nancy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Carman United Church, 7258 Vedder Road, Chilliwack, BC on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow at the church.

Memorial donations may be made in the name of Nancy Blackmur to the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia.
