Madeline Winifred Roach

On Oct 30th 2019 Madeline “Mitzi” Roach went home to be with the Lord, at the age of 79. She was at home surrounded by all of her 6 daughters. She is survived by her children, Nancy Lee Nelson, Derby CT, Agnes (Joe) Hoyt, Woodstock, VA, Ruth Martanis, Delhi, NY, Patricia Scott, St Petersburg, FL, Theresa Jones, St Petersburg, FL, Christine (Joe) McGuire, Palm Beach, FL. Her sister Joan Welch, Stratford, Ct. her half-brother Robert Johnson Poughkeepsie NY. Mitzi had 13 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. She was born in Brooklyn NY on Sept 30 1940, and moved to Stratford, Ct. She relocated to St Petersburg FL in 1980. She was a retired inspector from GE and also spent several years at Jabil. She had been a member of the American Legion post 14 for the last 34 years. She had volunteered her time to many causes over the years. People who meet her always said they would never forget her! She was the kind of person you wanted in your life. She has asked for no service but to put her ashes out to sea. She would want to be remembered as she was in the “good ole Days”. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice whom allowed her to be home where she always said she wanted to be
