

Bill was born in Kearny, NJ and later moved with his family to Keansburg, NJ. He was a veteran and served stateside in the U. S. Army.
Bill hired with Central NJ (CNJ) Railroad and continued his career with NJ Transit before retiring from Conrail after 31 years of service.
Bill and his loving wife Gloria raised their family in Keyport, NJ. Bill loved his garden, fishing, riding his bike, spending time with his brothers and sisters, and watching football on the weekends. He was a great cook and everyone loved his chili. In retirement, Bill ran Big Bill's Hot Dog Wagon in Keyport, NJ.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria, of Clearwater, FL; daughter Rachel and her husband, John Aumack of Keyport, NJ; and son Michael of Buffalo, NY and his wife, Katherine. Bill is also survived by his 5 granddaughters: Pierina, Nicole, Kate, Lauren and Juliette.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Vincent McKenna and Helen Miller McKenna; his brother, John McKenna; brothers-in-law Warren Hughes, Michael Roberts and Raymond Roemer; and sister-in-law Carol McKenna. Surviving are brothers Robert (Georgia) McKenna, Thomas (Joanne) McKenna, Vincent McKenna, Joseph (Diane) McKenna, Francis (Janice) McKenna, Karl (Charlene) McKenna, Edward (Jane) McKenna, Lawrence (Sharon) McKenna, and Anthony (Norena) McKenna; and sisters Gloria Roemer, Carol Hughes, Patricia (Bill) Downes, and Margaret (Steve) Garvin; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
