James Timothy Brooks

J. Timothy Brooks, 60, of Columbus, OH, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born December 3, 1957 in Worthington, OH, to the late Robert and Ruth Hamilton Brooks. Tim was a graduate of Thomas Worthington HS and The Ohio State University, as well as an avid sports fan, who loved to watch the Buckeyes. The only thing Tim loved more was rooting on his children in sports - from the YMCA, to grade school, to high school. Tim was a selfless volunteer, a dedicated member of St. Anthony Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Tim possessed a kind and loving heart, a laugh that was infectious and mischievous, and he will be missed by family and friends. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Powell.Tim is survived by his children, Alissa and Jordan Brooks; siblings Jill (Tim) Booth and Steven (Barbara) Brooks; brother-in-law David Powell; nieces and nephew Gwynne (Joe) Watkins, Daniel (Aimee) Powell, Jessica Sellke, Emily Booth, Amy Booth; numerous cousins and many friends. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Church, 1300 Urban Drive, Columbus. Family would like to thank Jill for her selfless and loving care for Tim over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ADAMH Board of Franklin County, 447 E.
