Thomas A. Kuhn, age 79, of Bexley, died Saturday, March 13, 2010. Thomas received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from The Ohio State University College of Engineering, where he also was president of the Triangle Fraternity. Following graduation Thomas served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he worked for Suburban Motor Freight in finance and management, retiring as president of the company in 1982. He was a long-time member of First Congregational Church. Over the years he also devoted much time and energy to community service. The major focus of his life, however, was his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Alice Kuhn; sons, Thomas A. Kuhn, Jr. of Columbus and Charles E. (Donna) Kuhn of Cleveland; daughter, Katherine (Kurt) Daum of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Alice, Steven, and Alan Daum; brother Edwin Allan (Doris) Kuhn of McLean, VA; nephews, Edwin Kuhn Jr. (Lynda) and Douglas Kuhn of Arlington, VA. A celebration of his life will include visiting hours from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 21 at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL 229 E. State St. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 22 at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH 444 E. Broad St., Rev. Timothy Ahrens officiating. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster, OH.
