At Saint-Vincent Hospital, Ottawa on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the age of 51 years. Beloved husband of Carol (née Desjardins). Loving father of Justin (Kerri), Jamie and Jenna (Nicholas). Cherished grandfather of Liam, Landon, Carson and Lukas. Cherished step-grandfather of Peyton and Aubree. Dear brother of Wendy, Robert (Theresa), Andrew (Diana) and Sarah (Kyle). Predeceased by his parents Nelson Lapierre and Sandra (née Munro) Lapierre. Loving son of biological father Blair Coughlin.

Attendance Controlled Visitation will be held at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch (63-932-8482), on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 11 am until 1 pm.

Doug was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a YBC coach at Olympia Bowl and gave his free time to many children
Doug will be missed by all that knew him. He fought a hard long
battle. Heaven has a new angel. My sincere sympathies to Carol and family.

I was shocked and so very saddened when I heard of his death. He was a sweet man and I know will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His mom was my best friend and I know she was proud of her boy. I'll never forget you Doug.

My sympathies to carol jamie justin and Jenna .. Doug was a very kind and humble man we got to spend a few days together in British Columbia He was a bit nervous he never coached before at the nationals never flew before So we Kinda hung out together through the days of his coaching my grandson.. It’s those memories that will be held in my heart thank you Doug for taking Thomas under your wing as a coach and as a good friend when he spent most of his time at your house.. thank you May you find peace in heaven and That you are held in a lot of peoples hearts down here on earth ❤️

Sorry for your loss. We knew the family when all were small especially his mom and dad. He was a very nice man.
