Jose Hernandez

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernardino Hernandez & Eufracia Soto; sister, Sylvia Ovalle; & brother, Guillermo Garcia.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Lopez Hernandez; three children, Jose Luis (Priscilla) Hernandez, Ann Marie (Richard) Rubio, Bernardino (Delia) Hernandez; nine grandchildren, Mallory, Rebecca, Vanessa, Richard (RJ), David, Arriana, Ryan, Samantha, Frankie; two brothers, Adolfo (Petra) Garcia, Jose Luis Garcia; four sisters, Rosa Maria (Roel) Canales, Juanita (Johnny) Garcia, Angelina (Bill) Thaxton, & Blanca Garcia.

He will be remembered for his love of family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and had a passion for bar-b-queuing, singing, playing guitar and gardening.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Religious celebration will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington St. at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
