Norbert was married and preceded in death by Angeline Kovar Schwertner. He is survived by one sister, Edie Schwertner.
He worked at Koch Refinery for 37 years. He was a Korean War Navy veteran and was a member of American Legion Post #364.
Norbert is survived by two children, Diane King (Gary) and Don Schwertner (Debra); grandsons, Cory Schwertner (Jaime), Joshua Schwertner (Laney) and Ryan King (Cecilia); granddaughters, Tiffany Esquivel (Damon) and Amber Schwertner; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyne, Kathleen, Lillian, Deena, Ellisyn and Rylee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Salado Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
