Dorothy Harvie

Dorothy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the age of 94. She was born in Cumberland and lived her whole life there. She was predeceased by her husband, Red, in 2012.

Dorothy was very involved in the community volunteering for sporting and May Day events and functions in the CRI Hall.

She had a great sense of humour and was always quick to laugh. Dorothy loved being with others and always saw the positive in people. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved to go out for lunch and to the casino.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children Carol Ann (Tom), Georgina (Bill) and Andy (Gayle); 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thanks to the nurses on 4A, Dr. Thompson and Dr. Woldnik for the care and compassion shown to her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Church (1599 Tunner Dr. Courtenay), followed by a tea in the church hall.
