Marie was born on March 19, 1926 in the Bronx, New York to the late William and Isabella Kennedy. She was married on November 23, 1944 to the late William E. King, Sr. at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. He predeceased her on January 29, 2005. She worked and retired from Reader’s Digest as a Mailroom Clerk. Marie was an active parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Church and member of the Croton Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by her beloved children, Jeanne M. King, Karen Colombo and her husband Sam and William E. King, Jr.; loving grandson Chris Colombo; adoring great grandchildren, Chris Colombo, Jr. and Ashley Colombo. She is also survived by her great-great granddaughters Jaida Astacio and Amina Barrow. She was predeceased by her cherished son Michael King in 1978. She was also predeceased by her brother Bill Kennedy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 4-8PM at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Monday, August 13th at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery also in Croton.
