

Jack B. Cook, 83, of Davenport, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Genesis West Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 pm at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jack was born July 10, 1927 in Davenport, the son of Jess and Ebol (Doppler) Cook.
He was united in marriage to Jacquelyn D. Marolf on May 20, 1950 in Davenport; she preceded him in death on November 9, 2005. He served in the Navy during WWII.
Jack worked for Bessler Company, French & Hecht and retired from Alcoa in 1987. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, singing and buying candy. He was an avid Hawkeye fan whose sense of humor will be greatly missed!
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Larry (Lisa) Cook; Barbara (Terry) Owens, Janice (John Kroeger), Judy and Bonnie Cook, all of Davenport; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; siblings: Vera Cook, Davenport; Jane Leopard, Moline; Betty Richardson and Lyle Cook, both of Davenport.
His parents, sisters, Alice Mitchell and Violet Stichter; brothers: Albert, Robert, Billy and Darrold; and a grandson, Ray Baldwin preceded him in death.
