Joann Gillum, (Spencer), age 83, made her final journey home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Born in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, she is proceeded in death by her parents Estill and Mary Spencer, daughters Patricia Bishop and Melissa Walker, brother Wendell and Estill Clifton Spencer, and sisters Rosie Short and Peggy Weddington. Joann is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Gillum of Fairborn, Ohio, daughter Tina Gillum of Fairborn, Ohio. Brothers Frank Spencer of Sandy Hook, Kentucky and Billy Ray Spencer of Fairborn, Ohio. Grandchildren Holly Boucher of Dayton, Ohio, Megan Boudreau of Kodak, Tennessee, Jordan Boucher of Kodak, Tennessee, Kaleb and Noah Ryan of Fairborn, Ohio and great-grandchildren Jordan Lee of Kodak, Tennessee, Dominik Boudreau of Kodak, Tennessee and Moriah and Macy Boudreau of Kodak, Tennessee; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members.
Joann was a loving wife and nurturing mother. She was always adored by everyone who crossed her path. Joann lived for serving the Lord and her ultimate goal of making Heaven her home. She loved her church and church family and was an active member. She enjoyed good gospel music and long conversations with family and friends. Joann was an amazing cook, and everyone loved to sit and enjoy one her delicious meals. Joann loved to spend time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
A Memorial Service by the family will be planned on a later date.
