Natalie (Nikkee) Staeuble (Horrocks), 80, of Centerville, Ohio died at MVH South on May 22nd due to complications with pneumonia. She was born in Louisville, KY to John Horrocks and Janet Caldwell Horrocks. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Staeuble, of 59 years, her son Patrick Staeuble and two cherished grandchildren.. Ryker (13) and Madisyn (5). She is also survived by her brother David Horrocks and his wife, Jody of Piqua, OH. There are also nephews Robert Horrocks (Cleveland, OH), Andrew and Danielle Horrocks (Vandalia, OH) and nieces Amy Schwarck (Horrocks) and Jason (Dayton, OH), Jaime Kinyon (Horrocks) and Rob (Long Island, NY)
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Janet Horrocks, brothers, Marty and Robert. Natalie loved to be outside and was an avid gardener. She won the Centerville City Beautiful Award twice for her flower gardens. She was dedicated to pollinators because she loved song birds, hummingbirds, and butterflies (both big and small).
She was happiest when she was in the garden in the cool of the night. Often she would pretend to not hear the call "dinner's ready!" And if did she would say "I'm busy!". She also ran a successful antique business for many years and only slowed down when her only child, Patrick, was born.
Early in our marriage she was a gifted Sunday School teacher for the preschool kids. Sometimes she looked like the Pied Piper with all the kids around her. She was a faithful Christian and exuded faith in the WORD and Jesus all of her life. Later in life her health issues made her normal way of living not possible. Her frustration of not being able to do for her family was actually more significant than the physical pain she endured. She cared deeply and loved vigorously all her life. She was her own person right up to the last! Saying she will be missed is an understatement.
