

Ed, a retired mechanical engineer and veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force lived a full and noble life in which country, family, friends, and service to others were central. Born in New York City,Ed enlisted in the Army at 16 years of age and served in Japan. In 1950, he reenlisted in the Air Force, ultimately being assigned to Lowry AFB in Denver where he met the love of his life Shirley Rudolph. Ed and Shirley spent 61 years together raising their family in New York and Colorado.
Ed is survived by his wife Shirley; children Betsy Faulhaber Kostelecky, John (Lori) Faulhaber, Barbara Faulhaber (Mark) Hernandez, Suzanne Faulhaber (Dave) Kitchen; grandchildren Kayla and Kyle (Tyler) Kostelecky, Simon, Tyler, and Ryan Faulhaber, Hannah and Emma Kitchen; and great grandson Keaton Kostelecky.
Military Honors and a Commital Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2:30 pm to 3:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area B.
Ed is and will be greatly missed.
