Judith Cecelia Greene

Judith C. Greene (nee Courtney) age 70 of Naperville, IL (formerly of Arlington Heights, IL) passed away peacefully on March 3, 2019 after a courageous fight against cancer. Daughter of the late Warren R. and Eleanor E. Courtney. Beloved wife of the late Dennis R. Loving mother of Sarah C. (fiancé Joshua Falk) and Daniel R. (fiancée Ciara Vetro). Grandmother to Caroline and Evelyn Falk, Zack Sturdivant, and Jacob Greene. Dear sister to Janet Courtney, Patricia (Andrew) Mugnaini and the late JoAnne Courtney.

Judith held an MS in Special Education from Northern Illinois University and enjoyed a fulfilling 34 year teaching career in numerous Chicago Public Schools, instructing the blind or visually impaired. Judith retired in 2007 from Chicago Public Schools and began teaching online classes for Hadley School for the Blind until retiring in January of 2019.

A Mass of Christian Burial commemorating Judith’s life will be celebrated on April 12, 2019, at 11 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 South Route 59, Plainfield, IL. A committal service for both Dennis and Judith will be held at 1 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL.

Judith will long be remembered for her sweet smile, her readiness to help others, and her deep love of family and friends. She enjoyed shopping; getting her hair and nails done but above all she loved her Chicago Cubs and Bears.
