Vera Amason

Vera was born October 5, 1927 in Urbana to George and Jesse Sturdivant. She was a long time member of East Faulkner Street Church of Christ in El Dorado. Vera was previously a partner in Warren Construction Company and prior member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Doyne Sturdivant; and husbands, Henry “Bo” Warren and Arthur Amason.

Survivors include sisters, Ginnie Prothro of El Dorado and Earline Cameron of Shreveport, LA; brother, Reginald Sturdivant of El Dorado; daughters, Paula Pistorius (Bryan) of Little Rock; Janice Edwards (Dana) of Denton, TX; and Susan Conway (Bill) of North Little Rock; cousin, Oma Sue Harter (Keith) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Drew Pistorius of Little Rock; Melissa Epping (Michael) of Denton, TX; and Alan Edwards (Caroline) of Corinth, TX; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 am on Wednesday March 12, prior to the service. Funeral will be at 1:00 pm at Young’s Chapel with Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Urbana Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will include son’s-in-law, grandsons, nephews, and close family friends.
