
A great husband and father went to Heaven on March 26, 2011. He was born August 11, 1926 in Torrance, CA. He moved to Eureka with his wife Connie 20 years ago. He was a World War II and Korean War Veteran. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy August 21, 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1945. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy October 3, 1947 and was honorably discharged in 1951. He became a crash rescue firefighter at Edwards Air Force Base, 1952-1954, Edwards, CA. He went to work as a crash rescue firefighter at Hughes Aircraft Company, 1954-1979, Culver City, CA. He attended Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA taking sculpture, life drawing, and painting classes. He also went to El Camino College in Torrance, CA taking life drawing and painting classes. He was a true artist, a gentleman, and a loving, humble friend with a big heart. Paul is survived by his wife Connie Husbands; his son Paul William; and daughter Sandra June Husbands.
