John, and his law partner, Jim Jones, took me under their wings when I was starting out as an Investment Company Act lawyer 30 years ago. John was always the kindest soul and it was my pleasure and an honor to have had his acquaintance and his tutelage. May his memory be a blessing to his family, former colleagues, and his friends.

In John, still waters ran deep, as I discovered when we roomed together in college. John was kind and thoughtful, and when he spoke, I learned to listen. His sense of humor was sly. Although we were not in touch very much after college, the bonds of friendship we developed as "roomies" remain.

We have spent 45 years with John & Sally in a so - called « Gourmet Club » . What fabulous memories we have from our dinners together -where the host couple chooses the menu & assigns the recipes to each of the other three couples. The best part was occasionally the food, but usually our political discussions!
We send our thoughts & love to Sally & her family.

Prayers and sympathies to Sally and the entire Blouch family.
It was an honor to work along side John for 30+ years. He was one of the finest men I have ever known. I always said that if I got on a game show and needed to phone a friend for an answer, John would be at the top of the list. He was a true renaissance man who always amazed at the range of his intellect and the ability to be an expert in something in short order. He was very caring and protective of those he worked with and I take that with me everyday. The Jesuit motto is "A Man for Others" and John was a living example of that. God Bless You My Friend.
