Severiano “Cheve” Longoria received his angelic halo on Friday, May 4, 2018 when he passed away at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 72. Cheve was given the gift of life on February 21, 1946 when he was born to Arturo Longoria and Elvira De Luna Longoria in Falfurrias, Texas. He worked as a carpenter for many years until his retirement. Cheve was a strong man with a great spirit and solid faith in the Lord. He was devoted to his family and loved spending quality time with them.
Cheve was reunited in Heaven with his parents; wife, Diamantina G. Longoria; grandson, Michael Zuniga; brothers, Arturo Longoria, Abelino Longoria, Juventino Longoria and Toribio Longoria and sisters, Adela Garza, Elida Rosas, Santos Guerra and Felipa Saenz.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his two children, Severiano (Vanessa) Longoria, Jr. and Melissa (Marco) Zuniga both of Falfurrias; brothers, Jose (Mary) Longoria and Reynaldo (Mary) Longoria both of Falfurrias; sister, Margarita (Ricky Saenz) Longoria of Port Lavaca, Texas; five grandchildren, Marissa Zuniga, Marisol Zuniga, Marco Zuniga, Jr., Brianna Longoria and Marlissa Longoria and numerous, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation to begin at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
