Taurino Guerra, Jr. passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 surrounded by his family at a nursing home in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 82. He was born on April 7, 1935 to Taurino Guerra, Sr. and Sofia Mendieta in Realitos, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hermelinda Alaniz Guerra; wife, Candelaria Perez Guerra; twin siblings, Lauro and Laura Guerra and brothers, Arnoldo Guerra and Arnulfo Guerra.
Taurnio leaves behind to cherish his precious memories his son, Juan Gerardo "Jerry" Guerra; daughters, Melba Guerra and Sara "Cookie" Guerra; sister, Aminta G. Ramos all of Hebbronville, Texas; grandchildren, Freddy Canales, Jessica Canales and Michael Canales; great-granddaughter, Ella Canales and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Canales, Michael Canales, Olivero Ramos, Arnulfo Guerra, Jr., Rick Canales, Juan Dominguez, Leonardo Perez, III and Frank Cantu.
Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams with visiting beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the Greenhill Cemetery in Jim Hogg County.
