Belisario “Bill” Simeone, 94, of Fort Myers, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. Bill was born in West Haven, Connecticut, the son of Pasquale and Maria Franco Simeone. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Submarine Service. Bill made his career in construction as a Lead Carpenter.
Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years, Candida “Candy”; four children, Michael (Marianne) Simeone, Paul (Karen) Simeone, Maria (Tom) McCarthy and Chris (Amy) Simeone; Grandchildren, Michael (Amy) and Lauren are Michael’s children, Paul (Katie), Ken (Janelle) and Eric are Paul’s children, Madison and Gianna are Maria’s children, Nicholas and Alex are Chris’s children. Great Grandchildren, Enzo Simeone and Luci Anna Simeone.
Bill was a life member of the Knights of Columbus 3605 in Hamden, Connecticut and a member of the National Chapter of the U.S. Submarine Veterans (SubVet) Barb Base, Cape Coral, Florida.
Bill loved to fish, enjoyed music, crossword puzzles and woodworking. He was an avid reader, mostly about the Navy, old trolleys and trains.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 12171 Iona Rd., Fort Myers, FL 33908 on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 9:00 AM.
