It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Garth Campbell on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the age of 61 years in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
Born on March 8, 1957 in Hamilton, ON, Garth, the son of the late John and Irene (Bourgeois) Campbell, grew up in Glace Bay, NS. He was a Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter and a retired member of the UA Local 488 in Edmonton, UA Local 682 in Cape Breton and Local 92 Labourer’s Union in Edmonton.
Garth will be lovingly remembered by his partner and best friend of 20 years, Cindy; and her children Albert Phalen (Christine) and Amanda Harrison (Brian). GG will be forever missed by his 5 grandchildren, Mark, Grant, Sawyer, Sullivan and Scotlynn, and his fur babies, Daisey and Beep. He is survived by his brothers, Blair (Bonnie), Darrell (Judy),and Keith (Liz); sisters, Lisa and Johnna; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Edna) and Gordie (Catriona); sisters-in-law, Frankie (Bob Lamont), Gail Moore, Sandra Rigby, and Tracey (Mic), and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Garth was predeceased by his brother, Ross and brothers-in-law, Mike Moore and Vince Rigby.
A service will be held at First Memorial Riverview Chapel, 11090 86 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan, on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10am. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
