Nancy L.K. Brasher, 88, of Fort Smith, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was born on February 16, 1933 in Fort Smith to the late Johnnie and Pearl Goldman. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Nancy loved to iron for people and enjoyed quilting and canning. Nancy was very involved in her neighborhood; when someone passed away, she would go to all the neighbors and collect enough money to help buy flowers for the service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Haskell E. Brasher, Sr.; a daughter, Joyce Mashaw; a son, Tommy Mashaw and a grandson, Joshua Taylor.
Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the pavilion of the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Lenora Taylor (Jerry) of Rudy; a son, Haskell E. Brasher, Jr. of Fort Smith; a sister, Darlene Branham (Alan) of Fort Smith; a brother, Johnnie Goldman, Jr. (Ceclia) of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Sarah Taylor and Scott Brasher, along with four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will Jerry Taylor, Alan Branham, Eric Flynn, Leon Lamb, Ted Hoffman and Ronnie Goldman.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
