Originally from Vietnam, Kieng came to America in 1975 with his immediate family and settled in the East side section of Fort Worth, Texas where he was very active in his local Vietnamese Catholic community. He remained in East Fort Worth throughout his life until he passed.
Kieng enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life, such as reading, gardening, eating ice cream/cake, but it was traveling and spending time was his family that brought him the greatest joy.
Kieng is remembered by his wife, Hong, his surviving five sons (Hai, Hung, Son, Long, and Dung) and four daughters (Van Anh, Kim Van, Thu Huong, and Phuong), thirteen grandchildren (Tina, Catherine, Bob, Michelle, Monique, Linh, Luan, Loc, Hanh, Paul, Long Jr, Davis, and Tiffany), and his countless loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
