The family will receive friends during visitation on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 10:00am, both services at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at New York Cemetery in New York, Texas where a graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm.
Odene was born to parents, William H. Gideon and Ethel Dingler Gideon on April 7, 1930 in Murchison, Texas. She grew up in Henderson County and graduated from La Poyner High School, and after marrying Earl, her husband, they moved to Fort Worth. In her later years, Odene served as a bookkeeper at a Medical office. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and crocheting gifts for those she loved. She will be dearly missed by those blessed to have called her a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Odene is preceded by her husband, Earl Ray Richardson; her parents, William H. and Ethel Gideon, and 4 brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are: her son, Steven Richardson, and wife, Cathy; Grandchildren, Dena Boldra, and her husband, Andy Boldr, and Jason Richardson and his wife, Susan Richardson; 5 great grandchildren, Jessica Roff, Ethan Boldra, Emma Boldra, Becky Richardson, and Cindy Richardson and a host of other relatives and friends.
