

Jack L. Cook, age 90 of Middletown, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 22, 1922 in Middletown, the son of Thurman Cook and Martha Griffith Cook. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion Post 218. Jack was a member of the Lincoln Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Cincinnati, Antioch Temple in Dayton, and the Middletown Shrine Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He worked at Armco for 40 years, retiring from Armco Research in 1982.
Jack is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Katherine Lovelace Cook; three daughters, Sharon Metz of Atlanta, Georgia, Judy Sisson of Cincinnati, and Jackie Ted Keuthan of Houston, Texas; five granddaughters, Kristi Metz of Atlanta, Georgia, Heather Dwayne Hulak of Cincinnati, Dr. Kara Collin Beatty, Julie Keuthan and Kaylee Keuthan, all of Houston, Texas; and two great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet Fogle.
