She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Matthew Smith and her brother Lawrence Acors.
She is survived by five children, Shelley Smith Edler, William Briar Smith, Thomas Matthew Smith Jr., Virginia Levering Smith, and Elizabeth Smith Odeh; two brothers, Howard and Richard Acors; and nine grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, there will be a private burial at a later date.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
