Lucille (Garofoli) Kisling was the fourth of five children born to Italian immigrant parents Lucrezia and Sergio Garofoli. Lucille graduated from High School mid-term of her senior year and immediately started work in a Title Company. She married Russell Kisling in 1950 and they embarked on a career in farming and agribusiness. She enjoyed growing fruit trees and vegetables in the garden and was a gifted seamstress who frequently sewed garments for her family. Lucille also dabbled in entrepreneurial pursuits such as growing, arranging and selling flowers, selling toys and selling fireworks.
Lucille was avidly interested in current events, especially politics. She enjoyed watching almost all sporting events; football, baseball, bowling, golf, but her favorite sporting event was ice skating, because as a young woman she loved to ice skate. Her favorite vacation spot was anywhere near the ocean – Cayucos and Carmel in particular.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Russell. She is survived by her children Jeff, Priscilla and Brian, daughter-in-law Jessica, and three grandchildren Kristina, George and Giulianna.
