Jimmie Fred Blanton

Jimmie Fred Blanton, 66, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2009. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Georgetown Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Mastler Cemetery outside of Georgetown, Jimmie lived a blessed life, beginning in Santa Anna, where he was born on September 8, 1942 to Emmit Edmond and Katherine Marie Blanton. He enjoyed the out of doors. Fishing, hunting, water sports, and spending time with his family were his passions. Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Milford; and a son, Scott. Jimmie’s legacy continues through the lives of his family; his wife, Helen of Georgetown, son; Chris and wife Rebekah of Georgetown, daughter; Tonia Worthey of Georgetown, sister; Wanda and husband Don Kinnard of Abilene, grandchildren; Nathaniel and wife Bri Worthey and Matthew Worthey of Round Rock, Colton Mendenhall, Justin Blanton, Shilyn Blanton, and Kailyn Blanton all of Georgetown and a great-grandchild; Scott Lee Worthey of Round Rock. Jimmie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, August 3, 2009 in Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown.
