Joyce Lorene McKeehan Bible, 94, passed away December 15, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. Mrs. Bible was born June 1, 1924 in Sipe Springs, Texas to Jim and Ester Ellis McKeehan. She was the 2nd oldest of 15 children.
Joyce graduated from Sipe Springs High School in 1941 and was the Class Valedictorian. She met her future husband, E.W. Bible in April 1941, and they married not long after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
E.W. was in the US Navy during World War II and lived in Washington, D.C. After the war ended, they came back to Grand Prairie and settled down and had a family. Joyce worked as a Legal Secretary for Fidelity Title. She attended First Christian Church.
Joyce loved to have fun. She stayed busy with several activities, including motorcycle runs, camping, traveling with the travel club in the motor home to New England in the fall.
Joyce is preceded in the death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by two sons, Larry and Kenneth Bible; Grandchildren: Torey and Tyler Matthis; Carrie Anne and Jake Bible, and extended family.
