Cheryle was a very creative person. She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing. She was always smiling and loved to help people any way she could. Through the years she was active in church working with children and in helping to feed the needy. Cheryle also cared for her mother until Helen’s death. Most of her work years were spent with abused children through the Grand Rapids Public School system and as a case worker in Lake County helping needy families. Due to health problems, Cheryle had to retire early and she, Irv and Helen moved to Arizona. Even with her health problems, Cheryle continued to help people. She was active at church working with children in various programs and she started a program to feed the homeless each week in the park. Cremation has taken place.
A Catholic Mass to remember her, will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church – 3937 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418 on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Father Chris Rouech will be officiating.
