William Herman Butler, 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Wesley Long Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2016 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
Herman was born in Greensboro to the late Guy Henry and Ora Work Butler. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Marine Corp.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years, Ruby Britt Butler; daughters, Patti Butler Robbins and Debra Butler; sister, Grace Shoemaker and her husband Neal; granddaughters, Tara and Megan Robbins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
